Lemonade with Honey and Ginger

  • 4 lemons
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 6 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tea glass of honey
  • 5 glasses (1 liter) of wate

Peel the lemons using a vegetable peeler or a sharp knife, without removing the white parts. Juice the lemons. Chop mint leaves and lemon peel with honey, using a food processor. Mix ground ginger and the chopped ingredients into the lemon juice, stir well, keep for approximately ten minutes. Filter the mixture, add five glasses of water and stir. Cool in the refrigerator, stir again, and serve. (For the ginger not to precipitate, it is recommended to stir while drinking.) This beverage prepared with lemon (rich in vitamin C), ginger (relaxing for the stomach, good for nausea, and also an antiseptic) and honey, increases the resistance in the case of a flu and helps for a quicker recovery. During flu, this beverage should be consumed warm.
